My Mission
I recognize the significant impact of trauma on adults, children, and families. My passion is supporting parents, adolescents, and families in their present healing. Systemic therapy looks at not just the individual, but their family, community, the larger societal values and how that power, privilege, and inequity impacts the person I see in the therapy room.
As a therapist, I want to serve the whole person; to me that means being a strong advocate in their lives. Whether that is finding them gender affirming care, financial aid, school supports, or getting other basic needs met. It can be challenging to get connected to resources and to know what resources are out there. The person who walks into my room as a potential client is much more than a diagnosis given to them, and as such, the treatment is not cookie cutter from a book.
Humans are relational beings- our conceptions of ourselves are formed through relationships with other people in our lives and society at large.
“She is an empathetic advocate for her clients.”
